Open Meadow Therapy is a warm, structured private practice in Wisconsin founded by sisters Brianna Cotter, LMFT and Bridget Beach, LMFT. We help clients feel understood while also leaving sessions with practical tools they can use between appointments.
We’re hiring a licensed therapist (1099) who wants strong clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and a sustainable caseload—without the admin chaos.

About the Role
As an independent contractor, you’ll provide psychotherapy to clients in-person and/or via telehealth, consistent with your training and preferences.
What you’ll do
Provide individual therapy (and/or couples therapy if that’s your lane)
Maintain timely, clinically appropriate documentation
Coordinate care as needed (with client consent)
Follow ethical standards, HIPAA requirements, and practice policies
Use our systems for scheduling/payment/communications (so things stay smooth)
Built-in flexibility
Choose your weekly client load and the days/hours you work
Choose your mix of in-person vs telehealth
Choose the populations you serve (adults / teens 16+ / couples) based on fit and scope

Requirements
Required
Active Wisconsin license: LMFT, LPC, or LCSW (or equivalent fully licensed status)
Ability to practice independently and ethically within scope
Reliable documentation habits and comfort using an EHR/telehealth tools
Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Nice to have
Couples work experience/interest
Trauma-informed care background (CBT/DBT/ACT/EMDR-informed, mindfulness, somatic, etc.)
Experience with anxiety/PTSD, life transitions, grief, relationship stress, adolescents (16+)
Compensation + Support

Referrals/marketing support to help build a caseload (pace depends on demand and fit)
Access to furnished office space in Baraboo and Stevens Point (as applicable)
